A business continuity program gives an institution a valuable proactive plan to avoid and mitigate risks associated with an unexpected disruption of operations. Although it may seem like an obvious program for institutions of higher education to implement, there are cultural and resource barriers on campus that can make doing so a challenge. This session will provide an overview of the strategies and tools used by Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) to effectively launch and sustain its program, which has had widespread engagement and support across the university over the past six years.
